I come from a family of artists and educators, but never did I think I’d do either. Now I’ve done both. After a short career in the fashion industry, I was enticed to education through a teacher training program. I fell in love with the work, the kids, and the struggles of the urban areas. After teaching in some of the most dangerous middle schools in areas most would not consider visiting, I’m now interning as a principal. This blog is my story, my thoughts, my reflections and my learnings.
